MVBC insurance has been renewed

The Mount Vernon Brew Club has coverage under the AHA's Homebrew Club Insurance program. If you are a rostered member of the MVBC and you must make a claim, please contact a member of the Board of Directors directly as soon as possible after the incident occurs so the claim process can begin in a timely manner. Examples of claimable incidents include:

Damage to your personal property from MVBC activities (for example, someone got rowdy and damaged your property while you were hosting a MVBC meeting)
Fees incurred with legal defense of the club
Damage incurred to your belongings at MVBC-sponsored events that other insurance won't cover (for example, MVBC hosts a brew day and your cell phone falls into a kettle of boiling wort in a freak accident)

The Board of Directors will determine whether your claim is both valid and substantial enough to reimburse, and if so, forward to the insurance agency or handle it using club funds. The current coverage period will last until September 1, 2024, just in time for Oktoberfest!

As a reminder, we are now collecting dues starting at the next meeting. 2024 dues for you (as existing members) are $10 annually. You may pay in cash or by checks made out to the Mount Vernon Brew Club.
